• Presentation Goals:
  1. Enable workers to see that there are 2 separate pathways involved in resolving issues
  2. Enable workers to know the difference between communication processes and problem solving processes
  3. Enable workers to identify the 20 variables of both communication and problem solving and to help them see which variable is suited for which problem
  4. Enable workers to feel comfortable in communicating either the communication skills or problem solving skills

Bio:

N. Thomas Johnson-Medland is an American poet, artist, hospice leader, and contemplative writer whose work explores the sacred intersections of landscape, memory, grief, history, and hope. Over five decades he has authored more than twenty books, published scores of essays and poems, delivered hundreds of presentations across the United States, and devoted his professional life to the spiritual and emotional care of individuals and families at the end of life. His writing and artwork are rooted in the belief that beauty, compassion, and attentive presence can transform both ordinary life and extraordinary suffering.
